BLUE ROCK TURKEY SHOOT-OUT AND CREATE THE GOOD
FOOD DRIVE NOVEMBER 22ND AND 23RD

(SOUTH YARMOUTH, MA) – Where’s the most fun place to get your Thanksgiving turkey? Here’s a hint – no shopping skills are necessary but a great tee shot will be your ticket to success! The Blue Rock Golf Course is inviting all golfers to take part in the 10th Annual Blue Rock Turkey Shoot-Out, which will be held Saturday, November 22nd and due to increased demand, a second tournament will be held on Sunday, November 23rd. Golfers will play the full course and the closest to the pin on each of the 18 holes will win a turkey. Entry fees are $40 per golfer ($20 for Blue Rock members) and an optional add-on Skins game will also be available.

In the true spirit of Thanksgiving, a food drive to benefit Create the Good will be part of the weekend’s events again this year. Golfers and any members of the community interested in supporting the food drive are encouraged to bring items to the course. Requested items include stuffing, potatoes, canned vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce and pies. Additional donations of canned goods and non-perishable goods will be collected 9am – 4pm daily at the Pro Shop through December 20th. All items will be distributed through Create the Good, a local non-profit started by a group of Yarmouth parents to place a food pantry in every Dennis-Yarmouth school.

With the award-winning par 3 course in outstanding condition and the recent warm November weather, there’s no better place to be on a fall weekend, playing golf and supporting the community. The shotgun tournaments begin at 10am both Saturday November 22nd and Sunday November 23rd.  Register today or learn more about the food drive by calling the Pro Shop at 508-398-9295, stopping by the Blue Rock Golf Course at 48 Todd Road in South Yarmouth, MA or visiting Blue Rock Golf Course on Facebook.
