Cape Cod Chapter of ABWA November 11 Meeting to Feature CCYP President Lisa Guyon

October 22, 2014, Hyannis, MA - The Cape Cod Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 11 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Cod, 287 Iyannough Road, Hyannis. Networking will begin at 5:30 pm with a buffet dinner at 6:00 pm in the Ivy Room. Women who are not members of ABWA are welcome to attend as guests.

The evening will feature be Lisa Guyon, President of Cape Cod Young Professionals, who will speak about volunteerism and civic engagement.

In 2004, Guyon founded Building Impact, an award winning non-profit organization in Boston dedicated to increasing corporate citizenship in the small and medium business sector. Guyon is currently Director of Community Benefits for Cape Cod Healthcare. In that role she is responsible for directing a system-wide community benefits program and promoting positive relationships between Cape Cod Healthcare and community organizations and coalitions, task forces, public health providers and governmental agencies.

 

In addition to serving as President of the Board of Directors of Cape Cod Young Professionals, Guyon is a board member of Cape Cod Volunteers and the Parkinson’s Support Network of Cape Cod.

 

A graduate of Harwich High School and Wheaton College, she has been recognized as a Social Innovator for her non-profit business ventures by the Social Innovation Forum in Cambridge and was selected as a '40 Under 40' rising business leader by the Boston Business Journal in 2007 and Cape & Plymouth Business Magazine in 2012.

The November Member Spotlight will feature Dina Lyons, of Dina Lyons Design, a branding, graphic identity and user interface design company.
