FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Enterprising Women returns for its fifth year
February 10, 2015 –– Cape & Plymouth Business is proud to announce that its Enterprising Women conference will return for its fifth year on November 19, 2015. Enterprising Women, which first launched in 2011, is an annual conference that provides a forum for entrepreneurial businesswomen to explore and embrace their unique experiences and perspectives. Bringing together varied experts to provide advice and inspiration, Enterprising Women is the premier women’s business event in the region. Covering topics ranging from public speaking to leadership, this longstanding event offers support to help every woman achieve more.
This year’s luncheon keynote speaker will be Betsy Myers, a renowned speaker, author and public servant. Myers is the founding director of The Center for Women and Business at Bentley University. Prior to that position, Myers was a senior adviser to Barack Obama's presidential campaign, and also served as executive director of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and was the President's senior advisor on women's issues during the Clinton Administration. She published her first book in 2011, Take the Lead: Motivate, Inspire, and Bring Out the Best in Yourself and Everyone Around You, which is about the changing nature of leadership.
Other speakers at Enterprising Women 2015 include Debbie Fay and Farah Bernier, who will address public speaking and personal branding topics. Debbie Fay is a public speaking coach and founder of BeSpeak Presentation Solutions. Fay is a dynamic speaker who shares practical advice and support with her audiences. Her insight transforms timid and terrified presenters into professional, powerful speakers. Farah Bernier is an experienced human capital and personal branding professional and founder of Living Fabulously Fierce, an organization committed to closing the "confidence gap" through action-based professional coaching. Bernier elevates personal confidence, professional excellence and enables women and girls to serve as positive models for others while achieving personal goals for growth and progression.
The fifth annual installment of Enterprising Women once again offers a multitude of opportunities to network and learn from prestigious speakers and other prominent businesswomen in our region.
In addition to excellent learning and networking opportunities, the event will present the Cape & Plymouth Business Enterprising Women Awards, which will be given to area women in the following categories – Businesswoman of the Year, Nonprofit Leader of the Year, and Rising Star. The nomination period for these awards will open later this year.
