CCYP

Next Ten

Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP) was founded in 2005 to help the region’s emerging work force connect with each other and with community leaders, engage in the community, and advance their personal and professional lives on Cape Cod.

Ten years later, CCYP has become more than just a networking group. With more than 1,000 members, 85 volunteers, and three full-time staff, CCYP is the only nonprofit in the region helping young professionals find and maintain the life they envision on Cape Cod.

CCYP is leading the way to develop solutions to recruit and retain a diverse workforce for the region, increase civic engagement, and build healthy and vibrant communities for the Cape Cod of today and tomorrow.

CCYP’s Next Ten campaign will leverage its members’ deep connections and depth of talent to realize a community and economy that address the needs of professionals at all stages of their careers. The Next Ten campaign will achieve these goals in three phases.

Phase One of CCYP’s Next Ten campaign will provide critical funding needed to develop and initiate programmatic solutions that address issues raised in the Shape the Cape report. In the next three years CCYP will:

Attract and retain the next generation of Cape Codders

  • Expand CCYP’s reach and influence throughout Cape Cod and over the bridges
  • Connect with off-Cape residents looking to relocate to Cape Cod

Foster future community leaders

  • Train future business leaders, board members, and town committee members how to be active and engaged citizens
  • Develop a hub on CCYP’s website that provides volunteer opportunities, listings for open Board of Director and Town Committee positions, plus other civic and philanthropic opportunities
  • Represent the YP voice on relevant local topics in the larger community discourse
  • Act as gatekeepers of information needed to create solutions, e.g., affordable housing
  • Develop a community calendar to promote civic issues across the region
  • Implement a Community Connect conference series to educate members about the importance of civic involvement and needs within the Cape Cod community

Create successful collaborations between professionals at all stages of their careers

  • Develop meaningful professional development and career advancement opportunities, e.g., the Mentor Exchange
  • Develop a Young Professional Summit that attracts professionals from around New England

Your support has been critical in helping CCYP grow in its first ten years.
We need you to help us make the lasting, positive changes we envision for Cape Cod in our Next Ten.

Join us in ensuring that our Next Ten years are all about Shaping the Cape – YOU are CCYP!
