Friday, April 26th - Plein Air Drawing with Friendly Goats and Chickens

This special plein air session is geared towards artists who want a challenge and love goats. We will start the session with a goat walk around the local bogs to give artists a deep sense of their personalities, then we will set up and draw or paint. The goats may pose on their roof or watch the artist as intently as the artist is watching them. Full event details >>

Saturday, April 27th - Cahoon Museum of American Art Open House

Stop by the Museum for this free, family friendly event! See the new exhibitions, meet the artists, watch art demonstrations and en plein air painting, enjoy artist gallery talks, enter an instagram contest, grab a handful of Swedish Fish, and celebrate the installation of our first permanent outdoor sculpture, Head of the Cod and Tail of the Fish by Hilary Hutchison. Sunday, April 28th - Wellfleet Cultural District's Beach Sticker Artists

The Wellfleet Cultural District has partnered with the Department of Community Services to highlight the new program that features local artists on beach/transfer station stickers. Join us for this exciting event where we will "unveil" this year's beach sticker artist. Come meet Wellfleet artists and learn about their work. There will be a presentation by the Director of the Department of Community Services, as well as a discussion and Q&A with the winning artist and local artists, followed by a reception. Saturday, May 4th - Bird Carving Demonstration with Paul Phillips

Decoy maker Paul Phillips will demonstrate the art of decoy carving. Paul is an experienced woodworker and carver who volunteers at the Elmer Crowell Barn (part of the Brooks Academy Museum). He is very knowledgeable about the folk art of decoy and decorative bird art and about New England carvers. Full event details >>
