Join the Cape Cod Pet Collective for its first 'BIG Think' event!
Calling all creative-thinkers, logistics-wizards, animal lovers, and community members who care about Cape Cod! In May, the Cape Cod Pet Collective was selected as the winner of the 2018 CCYP #BigIdeas for Cape Cod event. The Collective needs your ideas, skills, and energy at its first "Big Think" meeting on June 21st to make this idea come alive!
The Cape Cod Pet Collective wants to create intergenerational social connections through a shared love of pets, and hopes to make these programs a reality:
- Pet Share: Connecting seniors and families through cat visits or dog dates!
- Pet Connect: Volunteer program to help seniors with their pets -maybe taking the dog for a walk or a cat to a vet appointment.
- Pet Assist: Advance planning for temporary/permanent pet placement needed because of an owners illness, hospitalization or other circumstances and reduce the number of older pets who may otherwise be surrendered to shelters in our community.
Share your ideas and input at the Big Think event on Thursday, June 21st at 5:30 pm at Fresh Ketch Restaurant located at 462 Main Street, Hyannis. Light food served and cash bar available. This is NOT a fundraiser but an opportunity for you to help an idea become a reality!
