EforAll Cape Cod + CCYP Partnership Receives $100K Grant
This past October, as many within the CCYP community may have heard, CCYP announced an exciting partnership with Entrepreneurship for All Cape Cod through a joint grant from the Massachusetts Technological Collaborative (MassTech). Housing and Economic Development Secretary Jay Ash joined CCYP and EforAll Cape Cod to announce the $100,000 grant and host a subsequent roundtable discussion on entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship for All is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit designed to accelerate economic and social impact through entrepreneurship. Through creative and innovative programming, EforAll programs aim to support and prepare local entrepreneurs and their businesses and foster community engagement and investment.
This past year, EforAll Cape Cod was launched in the hopes of bringing the successful program directly to Cape Cod entrepreneurs. With Executive Director Christin Marshall leading the charge, EforAll Cape Cod hopes to support aspiring entrepreneurs through EforAll's signature business accelerator and pitch contest programs.
Over the next 17-month grant period, EforAll Cape Cod and CCYP will be working in collaboration to successfully kick-off EforAll's Cape based program. While a majority of the grant funding will go directly towards supporting EforAll Cape Cod's early establishment within our community, CCYP will supplement these efforts through promotional support, post-accelerator business spotlights, complimentary memberships, and more in the hopes of furthering the progress of EforAll Cape Cod's entrepreneurs following their initial program. Essentially, we creating an EforAll/CCYP sandwich - EforAll Cape Cod will launch their programs on Cape, educating aspiring and current entrepreneurs, while CCYP will bookend these efforts with recruitment of participants and volunteers, marketing programs through our established channels, and providing graduates of EforAll's accelerator programs with complimentary business memberships and business spotlights.
At CCYP, we see this partnership and the presence of EforAll Cape Cod's successful entrepreneur accelerator program as a huge step forward in attracting and keeping the region's top workforce talent right here on Cape Cod. As seen in other similar programs across the country, programs working to foster economic opportunity and lower the barrier to entry for innovation and business development assist in keeping communities relevant and vibrant.
