Meet EforAll Entrepreneur Chris Kelley of SIPS Cape Cod
Chris Kelley completed her EforAll Cape Cod Business Accelerator this January and we're incredibly excited to highlight her new business venture, SIPS Cape Cod, an interactive Cape Cod tour company that offers a fun alternative to drinking and driving.
To kick us off, describe your business.
Sips Cape Cod is the fun alternative to drinking and driving. Our Safaris highlight local businesses, natural beauty, and Cape Cod culture. We promote a safe educational and entertaining experience for our guests.
Many entrepreneurs kick start their ideas because they see a void within their community. What need do you feel your business is fulfilling in the Cape community?
As a registered nurse of 21 years, I’ve treated more than my fair share of patients directly impacted from drinking and driving related injuries. I felt compelled to create a safe fun way to explore localism though the Cape’s craft culture.
What is the most valuable thing you are taking away from the EforAll Business Accelerator?
The most valuable thing is confidence. I have been a nurse my whole life. I came into the program a complete business novice. In 12 intense and fast paced weeks, I have taken Sips from a concept to a tangible entity. EforAll has set my business on a solid foundation for growth.
At CCYP, one of our strategic priorities is to promote Cape Cod as a vibrant place for young people to live and work, year-round. What would you tell other entrepreneurs thinking about starting their businesses on Cape?
Breathe life into your ideas. It’s the ideas of nonconformists that will benefit us all.
