2014 Shape the Cape Report

From 2013-2014, CCYP worked with the Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy at Northeastern University to conduct the "Shape the Cape" study, an exploratory research effort with the goal of understanding causal factors that influenced the retention, recruitment, and out-migration of young working age adults on Cape Cod.

CCYP worked with the Dukakis Center to assess community needs and resources, develop a series of community forums and focus groups, and conduct a region-wide to pinpoint the challenges of young professionals seeking to live and work on Cape Cod. The result of the study was a comprehensive summary of research results, and an action plan with specific solutions and measurable goals. The report, titled "Shaping the Cape's Future," subsequently dubbed "The Shape the Cape Report," has since helped to drive programming, strategic priorities, and advocacy efforts by CCYP as we seek to retain and support the region's young workforce.
