CCYP Cape Women's Leadership Initiative

This leadership development program provides an opportunity for the Cape’s up-and-coming women leaders to gain core leadership skills for professional growth and advancement in a highly interactive and collaborative setting, engage with and learn from the experiences of exceptional Cape women leaders, and build a Cape-wide network of peers and mentors.

In addition to virtual and in-person participatory workshops led by expert professional facilitators, participants will learn key strategies for success from exceptional Cape women leaders at small group mentoring luncheons/dinners and a culminating interactive leadership breakfast program.

Below is a brief overview of the 2023 Cape Women's Leadership Initiative program elements and schedule. Additional details will be provided to participants in this year's cohort.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Part 1: Three Virtual Workshops

Build your leadership toolkit by joining us virtually at lunch and in the evening during the off-season!

Each virtual workshop will be led by expert professional coaches/facilitators. This "leadership boot camp" will focus on strategies for: building and leading highly effective teams, communicating with confidence, networking your way to increased influence and success, and leading with intercultural creativity. The interactive sessions will include small group breakouts as well as full group activities.

The 2023 cohort of the Cape Women's Leadership Initiative will kick off on Tuesday, October 24th as a hybrid workshop from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. titled "Leading with Intercultural Creativity: Developing a Road Map for Success" led by facilitator Genein M. Letford, M.ED.

Genein M. Letford, M.ED - Founder and Chief Creative Officer, CAFFE Strategies, LLC

CCYP is pleased to welcome Genein Letford, M.Ed. as a facilitator for the Cape Women's Leadership Initiative. Genein is an award-winning educator, best-selling author, and international speaker.

Genein is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of CAFFE Strategies, LLC, a consulting, coaching, and training company that trains C-Suite executives, employees, and educators. She is often called "America’s Creative Coach" for her work in reigniting intercultural creativity within our workforce.

November 2023: Additional virtual leadership skill-building workshops

Part 2: Leadership Luncheons/Dinners

Join in a small group mentoring experience with exceptional Cape women leaders!

Each participant will receive an invitation to attend one optional small-group mentoring experience at a Cape venue where you’ll be matched up with 6-8 Cape Women’s Leadership Initiative participants and 2 exceptional Cape women leaders who will share their experiences, guidance, and lessons learned in an interactive “speed-mentoring” session.

October-November 2023; various dates and locations to choose from.

Part 3: Immersive Leadership Development Learning Experiences

In-person programs consisting of advanced leadership skill-building workshops to help guide up-and-coming women leaders on the Cape, along with panels featuring some of the Cape’s most noteworthy women leaders across all industries.
